Located at 5925 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55419, Dan's Nicollet Car Wash operates as a car wash serving Minneapolis in Minnesota. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as car detailing service, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
In Minneapolis, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Minnesota, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 amβ6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Dan's Nicollet Car Wash at (612) 869-5812; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, danscarwash.net.
Its Google rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 568 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Minneapolis is in Minnesota, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Minneapolis is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Minnesota's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

They didnβt vacuum my trunk, they didnβt wipe down any of the door jambs, they didnβt put the mats back in place, not all of the wax was wiped off from the paint, and all of the exterior plastic was absolutely covered with wax so it all looks cloudy and white. Iβm still finding wax in places and I had the detailing done two months ago. It clearly had not been checked by a manager, before they notified me that it was ready for pickup. The hours are unreliable and the office is very hard to contact to schedule a time to pick up the vehicle (they didnβt answer the phones). My car is definitely cleaner than when I brought it in, but for $250 or more I expect a job done better than what I could do myself, which I did not get.

Quality has gone down while prices have gone up. Paid nearly $40 after tax for the upgraded premium wash and was completely underwhelmed. I chose that over basic due to the under wash and bug removal. My vehicle was dirty but not filthy after a weekend up north. There were some bugs, but not a lot by any means. Bugs are still there as is dirt on the mud flap. I believe the exterior of my car would have been cleaner had I gone to the touchless wash at BP. As for the interior, completely meh as well.

I just had my truck exterior only washed at Dan's. The $19n change package, instead of the $14 n change package, because I wanted wheels and rims cleaned more. Looks like only the drivers side wheels, the ones I coukd see while getting into truck, were detailed. Also I wiped my hand across hood in a spot I looked still dirty and it was black on 3 fingers. I understand it's hard to be perfect, but it made me feel that because I'm a senior with receieving a senior discount , that I'm blind. I'm not blind! This is first and most likely last time I'll use. If I change my mind and decide to try again, I'll diffenately inspect my vehicle before I leave and won't leave until Satisfied. As they say, "Working people sometimes don't respect what you don't inspect". On a positive note, all people working seemed friendly & polite.

Paid over $40 for the most βpremiumβ package just for my car to not even look any different. The outside was ok but the inside looked like someone spent about 30 seconds wiping all of the interior. Didnβt get any of my rubber floor mats. Hardly vacuumed the floor or the seats. They werenβt even busy so not sure why they rushed through it when they had the time to actually provide me the service I paid for. Additionally, when I drove up to the car wash the employee just stared at me. No βhelloβ no βhow can I help youβ or anything. It seems pretty standard to greet customers when they walk inβ¦ I will NOT be returning and will discourage anyone else from taking their car here. Donβt waste your money here. Your car wonβt be clean.

This place costs more for a worse result/experience compared to competitors in town. After βThe Ultimate,β my interior appears clean, but the outside shows areas that donβt even appear to be washed. This is simply not worth what is charged. Go to Central Car Wash (NE MPLS) or Water Werks Car Wash (Golden Valley) for good service and results with a cheaper price and better overall experience.
